Danny Reiland

- About: Danny brings six years of close collaboration with the Blueberry Genetics and Genomics Laboratory, during which he contributed to foundational work on blueberry tissue culture and regeneration. He currently works full time as a Plant Pathology Research Scholar at the NC State Micropropagation and Repository Unit while pursuing his M.S. degree. His graduate research continues and extends the transformation work pioneered in the lab, with a focus on optimizing blueberry transformation systems and an emerging interest in blueberry protoplast development — a frontier area with significant potential for precision genome editing in this recalcitrant crop.
